With any luck I should have internet back on at home as of tomorrow - it's been so difficult only being able to log in for about 10 mins at work.



Anyway, time for a couple of updates in the life of Jay, in the vague hope that you're interested!



We've got two new additions to the menagerie - a sexed (male and female) pair of adolescent Emperor Scorpions. I'll be putting up pictures of them as soon as I can. They're strangely cute!



Settled in nicely to the new house, and the nursery is nearly finished except for a couple of last-minute bits we need to do. The cot's up, and is really hammering home the fact that there's going to be an occupant in there in about 6 weeks time!



Having a 34 week scan on thursday, which is unusual in the UK so it'll be really weird to see. The baby is pretty much fully formed by now so we'll hopefully be able to get a good idea what it looks like. Apparently when Gav was 'playing' with it last night (poking the bump in other words), it was trying to grab his finger...freaky huh? Kel, you've got this all to come my dear, and twice over!



Final bit of news for now; I'm starting my maternity leave next monday. Was going to be at the end of this month, but the tiredness and heat exhaustion is setting in now so I had a word with HR and they've said I can go 3 weeks early. The first 2 weeks are holiday entitlement anyway, so I'm not losing out.
